Dear Families,
It is with enormous regret that I write to inform you that I have had to make the very difficult decision to close some classes tomorrow (04.02.2022) and Monday (07.02.2022)
Parents of children in the three classes concerned have been contacted individually, but the classes concerned are Trekkers, Trailblazers and Rockets.
I am very sad that I have had to make this decision. All of my staff have worked extremely hard right from the start of this academic year in September, to ensure that school can remain open for all pupils, ensuring that they are able to have their normal routine. Since January, we have been experiencing high levels of staff absence, mainly due to COVID, but other illnesses too. Some staff have had to take time off when their own family members have been poorly.
We have been reliant on the flexibility of our own staff alongside colleagues that we have brought in from supply agencies to keep all classes running as normal. Unfortunately, staff absences have now hit a level where like many schools across the country, we have to close some classes in order to ensure the Health & Safety in the school community.
I sincerely hope that I will not have to repeat this, but should this happen, I will keep everyone fully informed.
Many thanks for your continued support in such challenging times.
Regards,
Mark Wright
Head of School
